Truong Diep was elected to the Midway City Sanitary District on November 2006. Running as a fiscal conservative, Truong garnered 8850 votes in a crowded field of 5 candidates.
Born in Vietnam, Truong and his family have resettled in Southern California since 1991. Heavily involved with campus activities during his university days, Truong was elected by his peers as President Pro Tem of the student body at California State University, San Diego.
Currently, Truong is a Legislative Representative for Assemblyman Van Tran to the City of Westminster and the unincorporated area of Midway City where he serves as a link for community members to the various state agencies.
Politically active in his community, Truong serves as Senator Tom Harman’s designee to the Republican Party Central Committee. In addition, he is also a member of an Advisory Commission for Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.
Recognizing his dedication to public service, the Westminster City Council unanimously appointed him to the Traffic Commission. Recently, he was selected by his colleagues on the commission to serve as their Vice Chairman.
