Tyler Diep was elected as a Director of the Midway City Sanitary District on November, 2006. Running on a “No Fee Increase” platform, Tyler garnered more votes than two sitting incumbents.
As a fiscal conservative, Tyler is committed to keeping sewage and trash collection fees low while providing the best quality of services for the residents of Westminster and Midway City.
Director Diep has a rare distinction of also serving as a Councilman for the City of Westminster, a position he was elected to on November, 2008. Prior to his election to the City Council, Tyler served as a Traffic Commissioner.
Councilman Diep and his family resettled in Southern California from Vietnam in 1991. Determined to be a responsible citizen in his new adopted country, Tyler joined the Boy Scouts of America movement and immersed himself in many community service activities.
Heavily involved with campus activism during his college years, Tyler was selected by his peers as President Pro Tem of the student body council, which oversees an annual budget of nearly $20 million. He currently holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration from California State University, San Diego. |
