Item Pick Up
The
District provides a free bulky item service for the disposal
of appliances and furniture, and will collect two such items
from each household every thirty days. This includes refrigerators,
washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, sofas, chairs, hot water
heaters, mattresses', and box springs. This free service must
be scheduled in advance of your neighborhood collection day.
To Schedule a bulky pick up please call the District office Monday - Friday 8:00 am. to 4:30 pm. at 714-893-3553 or you can email the District with your request.

When you phone or email the District. Be prepared to give the following information to better able to serve you.
Your address, the day your refuse service is done on, the two items you wished to be picked up, a day time phone so that personnel can contact you with your scheduled confirmation date.
If you have phoned the District office and left a voice mail, or if you are emailing the District with your request. Please make sure District personnel contacts you with your scheduled date of service before putting your items out for pick up. Service cannot be completed on unconfirmed requests.
Midway
City Sanitary District is not permitted to collect televisions, computers, monitors and computer equipment, stereos, florescent light bulbs, microwaves, game consoles or any consumer electronic devices containing circuit boards, which have a high lead content
and are considered hazardous waste by the State. These items, along with other household hazardous
waste items, can be taken to the Hazardous Waste Center at Rainbow
Disposal site. For more information, call the Household Hazardous

The
District is also unable to pick up extra bags of trash, construction material,
wood, fencing, carpeting, tree stumps, commercial equipment, spas,
tires, or car parts, no mirrors or mirrored closed doors nor any broken windows are allowed. The District's bulky item service is also not
provided for remodeling or construction projects. If you are doing
remodeling, construction, or large yard clean up projects, we suggest
that you contact Rainbow
Disposal for Rent-A-Bin service.
Please
do not drop off bulky items at the District Office. Our office
does not have the facilities to accept any bags of refuse or
large items.
